unsafe Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 I was being set up with a guy. We exchanged e-mails for a week then he called and asked me out for this past sunday. He said he would call and confirm and get direction on Saturday. He never called. He called the next day appologizing. Saying he wasn't feeling well and that was no excuse but he wanted to take me out. I didnt' call him back. He e-mailed me saying he was sorry and lame for not calling like he said he would. He just called today asking if I wanted to go out to a nice place tonight. I haven't called him back. Should I go out with him even after he didn't call when he said he would?

He even admitted himself it's a lame excuse. Ditch him. Mark it up as his loss and go out with a guy that's actually cool (and not stupid.) MD

Walk Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Hmm.. I would've just thought the guy chickened out. Then regretted it and picked his balls back up. It's scary going out with someone you've been set up with. Even if you had talked to the person a couple of times. I'd give him a chance. If he even remotely seems wrong for you, then ditch him. No lee-way. But I'd go. Just to have a (hopefully) fun evening with someone else footing the bill.

Last thing you want to do is call someone you're attempting to impress and have them hear you barf. Or hang up on them so you can race to the toilet. Like I said. VERY Rarely.
BeFree Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Give him a chance, but don't go out with him without more notice. Don't set the presedent that you will go out with him at the drop of a hat. Tell him you are busy tonight but free on Thursday or Friday.
