kristyk1 Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Just wondering how you guys would feel if a girl you knew as an acquaintance (talk maybe once a week) asked you to hang out sometime? Like, she asks what you're up to this weekend, you say you have no plans and she says "we should hang out sometime". Would you assume she was interested, or just friendly? Thanks
AdvicceKing017 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Well yes and no. She could just have no plans because all of her other friends are busy. But on the other hand she could very well be interested.
noclobber Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Brings me back some very "pleasant" memories I did the mistake of assuming that my female friend was interested when she asked me to hang-out. She was only an acquaintance then. I later learnt that she was just being friendly. This is a tricky situation. I would say don't assume anything at this point. Just go hang-out with her without any expectations and then by the end of the day ask her for a date. Not a friendly date but an "official date". If she agrees then she is really interested. Good Luck
Dinnj1 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 we should hang out sometime". Would you assume she was interested, or just friendly? that's depends... Did she unbutton her shirt a lil', pucker up and wink at ya??? accept her offer... then you're know the answer by the end of the date... oops I mean ... meeting.
hyakku Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Go in with the mindset that she wants you. And she will. Your awesome, why wouldn't she?
RetroMan Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Interested I'd say...especially if you don't know her all that well. Wish I had her guts to go up to girls and say that...I'd always be terrified of getting a "Pfft. Why? I barely know you" reaction...or at least something more polite that basically means that.
Wing Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 I feel she is interested, but just be friendly is also a possibility as others have said. Go out with her, and you will know. Good luck
Author kristyk1 Posted March 19, 2006 Author Posted March 19, 2006 Thanks for the input...but I'm actually asking this because of this guy I know around town...he is relatively new here and doesn't seem to have a whole lot of friends. We see each other and chat maybe once a week...but whenever I ask what he's up to this weekend, or how his weekend was...he always says he's doing nothing, it was boring, or he did nothing...so I just thought the next time the conversation went like that, I would suggest that we should hang out sometime. He is very cute...but I would like to get to know him. I don't want him to automatically assume I'm interested. Also...would you ever just say "no" in that kind of situation? Thanks everyone
