sweetjess1205 Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 okay here's the situation; we have been together for 3 yrs. and 3 months, we started dating in high school and now we are in college, he will be graduating in may 2007. we moved in together this summer and bought a house, it was rocky at first but now we are closer than ever. we talk about getting engaged, getting marred, having children, everything. he knows i want to get engaged, but i don't think he does because he hasn't asked yet, even though he says he does. Am i trying to rush this, or is it understandable to want to get married by now? This December will be 4 years together, has our relationship been long enough to deside if we are right for each other? i know that he's the one, should he know by now?
Elyssa Posted March 15, 2006 Posted March 15, 2006 Sounds to me like this guy wants to wait until you're done with college, and that's a perfectly reasonable thing to do. He's clearly telling you he wants a future with you, take that for what it is and be patient. If you become antsy about this issue, why don't you ask him directly and see what are his thoughts? if you don't want to talk to him about this,... be original! There's no reason you can't be the one to propose! -E
