Can a married man be friends with a single woman (or vice-versa)

And lets say they became friends after he got married

Is it possible for things to remain platonic.

But sometimes it's different when one's married. Amgine, are you sure it's totally platonic on both your parts?

I can't speak for him.

Yes there was an attraction, although i didn't feel it straight away (he grew on me) but i know it can't be anything more so i'm happy to be just friends.

That is possible still isn't it?

It could be. As long as you know it can't go anywhere. You have to be careful though if you're already attracted to him. To be honest, I dated a MM. He also 'grew on me'. The more I was around him, the more attracted I became. You just have to know your limits.

It's a very bad idea, actually, unless you are more like acquaintances than friends. If, by 'friends', you mean someone you hang out with and, most importantly, confide in, then no. Sharing confidences creates intimacy and is the path that leads people into affairs. This is the cause of the 'I never intended to fall in love' type affair.

However if you plan to be friends with the couple and spend time with them both as opposed to him alone, it might be possible.

Well, responding to your post here! It just depends on how the situation goes. Lets put it this way here! A married man and a single women, okay? Now, the married man's wife have to accept the fact that her huspand is being friend with a single women and as long as, she's not making a big deal out of it then it's all good. One more other thing is that if the married man's wife sees that he's paying too much attention to the single women that's he's being friend with and communicating with her more often then his wife. Yeah, that's definitely going to be a big problem there and no, I sure don't think they can be friends after all because the single women is the cause of the marriage break-up between the married man and his wife.
