I have no idea whats wrong with me... im quit embarrassed to ask anyone about it but it feels like I have a dinner dating phobia. Just the thought of going to dinner with my boyfriend makes me feel so uncomfortable... I dont know anyone who has this problem but it could so help to know how to get over this. I have no other fears like going to the movies, kissing, sex, talking... but dinners are different. Does this happen to anyother people? It would make my life so much easier and happier if I could get over this... Please help.

Some find dinners more formal. This is compounded if you go somewhere nice. It sounds like you are fairly easy going otherwise so maybe suggest going to a pub or someplace casual and ease yourself into a more formal dinner place in the future. He would probably understand perfectly if you didn't want to go out for dinner.

Besides making dinner at home is much more fun.

why not start out with home dinners? then dress up for formal home dinners... then finally go out.

My ex once cooked dinner for me after work once when I was going round to her place. I came in through the door to find her all dressed up with candles lit and she had made me my favourite dessert and everything. It was only a little thing but I was so impressed with the effort that she'd made! It was a really nice night and it definitely made me fall in love with her just a little bit more. I can fully recommend doing that. It made me feel so appreciated.
