luvtoto Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 ....that everytime I stick up for myself and stand up for what I think is right, I first feel empowered & strong, but then a bad nagging guilt sets in? If somebody could help me understand what is causing this I will be forever grateful!!
blind_otter Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Because subconsciously you don't feel like you deserve to feel that good about yourself, maybe?
Author luvtoto Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 Good point, blind_otter. Something to think about. Are there any previous posts that I could reference about this?
prfrogkisser Posted March 2, 2006 Posted March 2, 2006 Hi there We are so concern and worried about doing the right thing and going with our feelings that when we finally make a choice doubts take over and we wonder if we made the right choice. Then guilt sets in. If i knew exactly the situation i could add more. You are your own person and if you believe in something or someone dont let your doubts create guilt. We cant please everyone. We just have to concentrate in ourselfs and do what we feel its right. If we fail then we use this as a learning experience. I hope this helps.. Just remember Happiness is a state of mind !!!!!

Blind Illusion Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Plus, I think that new behaviors, even good ones, take awhile to feel "comfy" on us.
