flowerfairy142 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Hi...my boyfriend and I have been going strong for over 6 years. Everything is going very well except that I have a bit of a concern... Whatever he tells me, whether related to work or school sometimes seems to be a little over the top. While I believe he is still trying to impress me even after all these years (which I find so flattering by the way), I wonder if I should worry about this. For example, he told me in school he was over a 3.5 GPA but I found an email from one of his professors advising him what to do on a project and in the email it mentioned that his GPA was "below a 3.0". So you see, it's not serious things but I'm afraid if even though he's probably telling me these little white lies to try and appear all macho and good enough for me, I wonder if in the long run it can turn into bigger and worst lies. We're definately planning on getting married and talk about it all the time, so I really would like to ask the opinion of more experienced individuals about what life has taught them when it comes to little white lies...especially with the intention of trying to attract someone even more. It's like he hasn't really come out of the dating phase...when we ALL like to exagerate a little about how much we make or what positions we have, etc. Should this worry me? Advice is greatly appreciated!! THANK YOU!!
