I initiated 3 weeks to a month of NO CONTACT and then she calls me. I answered the call and asked her what she wanted. She said she wanted to see how i was doing and what i have been up to. I said bs; you're just calling me cause you miss me. She said yeah a little. I don't buy it. She then went to say why i sounded so mad and was so mean everytime she called... what a joke! This past Thursday night, i was out and ran into a gal that i knew and went over to talk to her... As i was talking to this gal, she gave me a big hug and gave me her number; just at this moment, my ex walks in and walks towards me and then see's that i was busy and she walks away. I see that she was meeting some guy at the restaurant and throughout the evening she kept looking over as i was chatting with other women. The next day, I get a call at my office and it was my ex girlfriend. I asked "what's up"... She said that she called to say that I looked really good in my new velour blazer... I burst out laughing and said BullS@#t! I then said Why are you calling me? She didn't answer but she then said Did you have a good time last night? I said yes... I then asked her: did you and your date have a good time??? She replied, oh that wasn't a date, that was just a friend of mine... I said BS... I wasn't mad or anything i was saying all this in a playfull manner... So, the question is: Why did she call me? And I know it's not the blazer! Why did she insist that she was not on a date?
CaliGuy Posted February 26, 2006 Posted February 26, 2006 She wants to keep you on a string while she plays the field. Do yourself a favor and stop answering her phone calls. NC means NO CONTACT, period. Let her go to VM. Unless she says those magic words, ignore her.

clynn Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 So, I am guessing that if indeed she is interested in getting back together with you.....she wouldn't have the guts under these circumstances to actually say so (since you sound pretty angry). Would you get back together with her ever?

Groovy Posted March 3, 2006 Posted March 3, 2006 Join the club. I had a tiff and break up 1 1/2 weeks ago. He is calling me everyday like nothing happened. When I don't answer I get "You must have found a new guy and your on a date while the old guy calls you...blah blah blah." I'm deciding if I want to be friends or not. He is the most wonderful guy but has a drinking problem, which is waste of time to discuss so I never did. Some people are friends after the romance is shattered. But bottom line is, being just friends is really hard and usually not worth it. I doubt this guy as my friend is OK seeing me talk to guys, hanging out, being asked out and spending time with me and not being able to be involved. I did decide though to get together at his request and have a face to face talk so we don't end the relationship with a memory our distressing yelling match. Do what's best for you. If you do meet her and talk since things have settled it may give you closure.
dr strangelove Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 I had this ex that broke up with me after I freaked out one time. (something I do) In any case it was not without provacation (big word). Someone told me just igmore her (other woman, just a friend). So it started with me showing up at a bar, dressed nice. To which I heard "ohmigod is that "my real name" I quickly left with a few friends. Next day or so I have to call in to a place she is working (a shop I started but left) and she answers, Oh is that (my real name) I just want tos ay you looked great. I can literally feel drool seeping through the telephone into my ear. My reply??? 'Thats nice, listen I have to speak to (friends name).. ohok.. (disappointed tone) In nay case it carried on like this for a while and it was hard for me to play disinterested. The climax came at a social event where I was volunteering and she was either drink on love or beer.. But she just wouldnt leave me alone. I ended up taking her into a garden area and made out with her... sorry I just couldnt fight it, (its not like she could either) So look I know its torture, but she will follow you around like a lovesick dog,a dn it will just get worse. Future? I see late night calls, or even some stalking... Sure you are getting angry, but she is probably secretly wanting to be punished. I hope you get what you need from this and keep in mind it only works if you keep up the facade.
