My girlfriend and I had sex the day after she ended her period, and the day after that also. Both times I didnt finish. She is on the pill and I used protection. Only mistake I might of made was I pulled out to rest and I got limp, then when I got hard I put it back in. Given those things, I would think she wouldnt get pregnant.

Well one week later (this past Sunday) she said she was having cramps and she didnt know why. Well that night she said she was now on her period agian, and that was where the cramps must of come from. Well she has been bleeding lightly (not spotty) for the past 4 days or so, but the cramps have not come back; nor any other feelings she gets with her periods. Just the blood.

She has also gained a very small amount of weight and her breasts have gotten a tich bigger but not much at all. That could be associated with the whole "Freshman 15" in college, but I dont know.

I am a little paranoid and from what I have read its still a little too early for a home pregnancy test. She doesnt know why her body is doing this and we cant figure it out; so I was hoping ya'll could shed some light on the situation. Maybe calm my nerves.

It could be many things :

1. She was already pregnant during your last sex encounter and she had breakthrough bleeding. ( test will confirm by now )

2. She was not pregnant at the time of the last sex and still isn't and her hormones and/ the pill have caused her to go out of whack.

I would suggest she go to her doctor and let him/her examine her and test her for hormonal dysfunction, pregnancy and a host of other problems that cause light bleeding such as she is having..

Are you joking?!?!? Pill plus condom plus you had sex right after her period plus she got her next period... and you wonder if she might be pregnant! Of course she is NOT pregnant. Not from the two nights you described.

Hormonal work can affect not only the body but also the mind. Hormones are a miracle! They can affect the breast size or cause pain in them. That's all normal especially for a young girl who has never given birth before.

The first symptom of pregnancy is a lack of period so if it always comes on time - this is the first warning to take the home test. A few days after the period is due is ok to take this test. Symptoms other than that in the first 3-4 weeks after conception are unusual. In other words, just a week or two after the sex (and before the next period is due), it makes no sense to read body signs for potential pregnancy.

If you're using the pill plus a condom, you need not worry about pregnancy. Make sure she takes the pill every day and has read the instructions about how exactly it works.
