Night before last I dreamt I was going to a job interview and she bought me a special tie to wear, It was a Batman tie. It had Batman on it, and when I said I didn't think it was a good idea she started to cry. Then last night had some dream about her ignoring me at a party or something. Thought I had enough emotional turmoil in our marriage now I get to relive new turmoil in dreams. Other than that I am just freakin peachy!!!
kitten chick Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 Ever since I've been sick I've been having really weird intense dreams (fever dreams?). I had one last night where my mom (who IRL has been happily married to my dad for 35 years) was marrying someone from my ex's gf's family. All of us were at his family's house, We were all pretty civil and calm. I ended up hooking up with one of the ex's friends. He got upset about it and I got pissed at him and asked him why the f*** he even cared. And he said, you're right, I don't care. Then he went to the back of his house and started hanging all over his girlfriend. Somehow by the end of the dream she and I finally spoke to each other and I don't remember what she said but as she was walking away from me I yelled to her, You have everything and you don't even appreciate it. She turned around (all dramatic like) and yelled back at me, So do you, you just don't realize it yet. At which point I woke up completely freaked out. These dreams are fun huh formerlyniceguy? For me it has been the worst part because it's lingering and out of my control.

I kept saying to myself in the dream, "This is the dumbest dream I have ever had". While it obviously shows some connection to my wife I haven't had any of the longing dreams, or angry dreams in a while. All in all I just woke up feeling stupid? Go figure???
kitten chick Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 I felt the same way in my dreams. The whole time I was dreaming I thought this made no sense. I haven't had dreams about him in quite a while. I've had people pop back into dreams many many years after I stopped being friends (or in a relationship) with them. Out of nowhere! I think that they are just representitive of something else or someone else. They're a physical picture that we use as a vision for an abstract idea. I'm hardly a dream expert though. Maybe there are still some open feelings in your case. I was just reading dgirl's thread...kind of thinking since your divorce isn't final yet??? Take a look at her thread.
Mariella43 Posted February 22, 2006 Posted February 22, 2006 When you're going thru emotional turmoil of any kind (especially loss) it's normal to have bizarre dreams. Your mind is in overdrive and your dreams are a way of helping some of this emotional activity play itself out. Don't try to decipher or analyze these dreams - it's your subconcious letting off steam. Have a good laugh everytime from now on everytime you see Batman. Maybe the Caped Crusader is secretly wanting to help you thru this difficult time with your ex! ha ha.
Author fomerlyniceguy Posted February 22, 2006 Author Posted February 22, 2006 Yeah I am not going to try to overanalyze it too much, I am not one to wear a lot of Batman merchandise, or at least not since I was young. I do have a Superman costume, but that is another story for another forum.

I myself have night terrors at least once every few monthes or so..These are like nightmears on crack LoL.. It's usualy always the same thing.. I wake up in the dream to see some one or some thing..Usualy a dark human like figure standing over me.. In this past one a few monthes ago.. He was actualy laying right next to me and then the next thing I know..I wake up and I'm standing at my light switch with my heart pounding so much it hurts in my chest.. Some times I scream as this is all happening but I'm not sure if its just in the dream or for real..
