ThePainter782 Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 I know there are probably many threads on this already, but I didn't take much time to look for them, but here is my question. I am 17 years old and have a decent amount of front/chest/stomach hair. I know many people get body hair eventually, but 17 seems rather young for the amount that I have. I have seen many women say that they like it, yet many find it repulsive, however it seems that it is almost always the younger ones that find it repulsive. Because of this, taking off my shirt in a relationship is often one of the biggest steps for me, and it is almost as hard to actually find a girl who does not mind body hair to begin with. What do I do in a situation like this? Any suggestions/comments would be helpful. thanks
Curmudgeon Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 What do I do in a situation like this? That's about your only option. Today's women, like today's men have much of their perceptions about beauty/handsomeness from the media. Look at what's pushed in adds ~~ women with prominent breasts, tiny waists and slender hips even though genetically and biologically, men are wired to seek women with broader hips for reproductive reasons. As for "men", they're pictured as smooth-skinned and hairless. Of course, many of those models probably have full body waxes but, oh well. In the olden days, 40-50 years ago (Yeah! I'm old enough to remember them.), young lads were told that doing, eating or drinking certain things would, "put hair on yourchest." It was almost thought to be a sign of virility. It obviously worked for some of us. My best guess is that there are plenty of wise, discerning and available young women around who are not turned off by someone with body hair and who prefer that to hairless little boys.
