David18 Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 Well, this morning went to break up with my gf of two years... when we had sex i always wore a condom.. and when i didn't.. i stuck it in for acouple strokes and took it out and put on a condom... but wore condom ALWAYS. when i go to break up with her.. she acts like shes been having headaches and stuff acting like shes pregnant. im thinking so i won't leave her. but there is no way she is cuz im always protective. what do you guys think she just doing this so i wont leave her?

She is trying to get you to show some reserve in dumping her. Make sure she isn't pregnant before you break up with her as a pregnancy might affect your feelings
helena abadi Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 woman do sometimes fake pregnancy as a way to try and prevent a relationship break up. however, it cannot be faked for long, so demand a pregnancy test asap - three weeks from the date of last sexual contact should be enough time. if not one pregnancy test, then two, to make sure. the ones from the pharmacy are reliable.

Go to a pharmacy & buy a couple of them yourself, read the literature they come with & then ask her to use them, with you present.
Author David18 Posted February 15, 2006 Author Posted February 15, 2006 so the preg test will tell us right away if she pregnant or not. even if its only been happeing for a week or so? she just said it only worked if its 5 days of a missed period is only when the preg test works.. so if shes been sick stright for a week in a half with headaches... will the preg test see if shes pregnant or not.

In fact, you're much more likely to get an accurate result if you wait until a week after your expected period before testing. From everything I've read about home pregnancy tests, they are most accurate after the date your period should have hit. The boxes always say to take the test after the first day of the missed period, first pee of the morning... If you're really concerned, take her to the doctors. Get a blood test. Those can tell if she has the hormones present in her blood stream. From what I udnerstand, those can be taken prior to missing your period. Although Dr's will give you hassel about it if she hasn't missed her period yet. How does she know you planned to break up with her? Did she know? Or did she just hit you with this outta the blue, and it coincided with what you had secretly planned to do? Just wondering... I've heard of a ton of women faking pregnancy so the guy would stick around. One girl I knew of failed 4 home pregnancy tests, failed three blood tests and an ultra sound and still insisted she was pregnant so her guy wouldn't leave. She also stalked him for about a year after they broke up... Be careful here. You're wading into potential psychotic territory. Insist she get tested. Take her if you to do it if you have to. Oh and Yes. You could have gotten her pregnant even if you thought you were protected. It does happen sometimes. Thankfully not often, but the potential still exists.

You mentioned before "you'd put it in, stroke a few times, take it out and put a condom on." That's unprotected sex. There's such a thing as pre-cum. Some sperm releases in the pre-cum stage. Also, there are some pregnancy tests out there that can give you the answer sooner than waiting the 3 weeks after sex (which is the norm). There's a place called planned parenthood. I'm sure they have a website. Check it out, and you'll get all your questions - for the most part answered. Yes, there's a chance that she is faking...she may sense the break-up coming and is using everything in her power to keep you. But...don't assume that until it's proven. By the way, finding out all the information about pregnancies and std's and all that is usually something you do before it's too late. Hopefully, whether she's pregnant or not, you'll use this "scare" as a means to be more informed. Too many of my friends have gotten pregnant "by accident." Keep us posted
Author David18 Posted February 15, 2006 Author Posted February 15, 2006 I told her i wanted to break up then she busted this out of the blue.. no way i could get her pregnant if i wore a condom everytime and it has no broke. the two strokes i did.. i made sure i was dry no pre-cum at all.. so theirfor there is no way... she just telling me she has headaches and throwing up but talked to a friend she said u dont even know ur really pregnant till after 1-3 months.. then you start gettin sick.. u dont get sick in the first week of being pregnant. so i think she doing this to just keep me.

StarbrightSB Posted February 16, 2006 Posted February 16, 2006 OK, a little about the pre cum. I'm a nursing student, and i've dot in depth study in pregnancy. Yes, you said you were dry, but precum may be present still, just not on the outside. There may be some in the end of the shaft, still inside the urethra, and it is possible for it to spill out while outside of her. That is why, even if it feels completely dry on the outside, there is still a chance that she COULD be pregnant. I doubt it though. Sickness dosnt occurr untill about 2-3 month of pregnancy. If she's only been pregnant for a couple weeks, the pregnancy wouldnt be causing sickness. The pregnancy test can be taken once she had missed her period, even by a day. Any tests taken earlier aren't too acurate - the HCG hormone won't be strong enough yet. Just get her to suck it up, take the test, and stop whining.
