loveheart59 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 This aint a serious topic just wanna settle an argument with my airhead friend. Can you turn fat into muscle?
scobro Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 No you cannot turn fat into muscle just like you cannot turn your leg into your arm. They are two completely different tissues. What happens is when you don't workout you tend to gain more bodyfat eliminating a defined looking muscle so it looks like the muscle turned into fat but really the muscle atrophies and has layers of fat on it creating the illusion that it turned into fat.So you need to get rid of the body fat to see the muscle.
JadeStar Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Yeah loose the fat first, and yes you can build up muscle after you have lost some of the fat. Jade
