coasting Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I cam home from doing a few errands yesterday and going out with some friends lastnight to find a card in my door, not signed but I am suspecting it is from the ex. It was a beautiful card that just had a simple quote on the inside. The quote read; "The winds of change are always blowing, and theeverytome I try to stay the winds of change continue blowing and they carry me away." I know I have heard this before but for the life of me I can not figure it out. I interpet it in a few different ways; including this one. 1) He left me to move in with another woman 2) the grass is not a green as he thought it would be on the other side 3) he is not happy aand would like me toknow that the winds blew him in that direction and this is his way of apoligizing! 4) And thanks to all of you wonderful folks at LS I think I can honestly say myself and my heart are worth so much more, that I can't give him that second chance or should I say third chance. Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated and if anyone can tell me where this quote originated or any history on I would also appreciate that as well. Thank You all for your continued support. I truly believe I found my second family in here.
bluechocolate Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 They are from the lyrics of a Willie Nelson song - "To All the Girls I've Loved Before". My interpretation would be that he has no intention of coming back.
Art_Critic Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 I read it on an earlier post on LS today.. Someone was talking about that their ex put that message up as an away message on their IM.. http://www.loveshack.org/forums/showpost.php?p=702154&postcount=20 Turns out it was you.. Care to explain ? If he puts the message up on his IM and you get a card with the same message.. doh !

Thank You all for your continued support. I truly believe I found my second family in here. Here's what it means: If this card is truly from your ex, who left you to move in with another woman...it means "WHO CARES what it means?" It's trite and irrelevant to even interpret. If the man is above 7 years old mentally and he regrets his trangression then a face to face talk would speak volumes than a "nice card". What is he Phantom of the Opera? AND if it wasn't him, consider yourself lucky to have a very sweet fairy who drops cards on your doorstep!
riobikini Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 He was feeling a tad guilty about your emotional state, but was still telling you he had chosen to keep moving on. -Rio
Author coasting Posted February 6, 2006 Author Posted February 6, 2006 All right people you don't have to be so vicous....I was just asking for some insight....thank you!
riobikini Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 whiznimz, We all do care, -we've all felt -or are feeling- much the same emotions that you are experiencing. All was meant gently. -Rio
bluechocolate Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 All right people you don't have to be so vicious....I was just asking for some insight....thank you! Who is being vicious here?
In Sync Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 All right people you don't have to be so vicous....I was just asking for some insight....thank you! Vicious? Opinions were express in a thread you sought insight on something you questioned. That's the risk you take when you put it out there, getting feedback you don't agree with...not everyone is going to sugar coat their perception!
Author coasting Posted February 6, 2006 Author Posted February 6, 2006 Turns out it was you.. Care to explain ? If he puts the message up on his IM and you get a card with the same message.. doh ! As posted by Artic, a bit sardastic there..... I know most people do mean well in here, but some think they have to be sarcastic, which no one comes here to listen to. As you all know we are here for one reason or another, but in the long run it is for support from others who have gone through this. Nothing to explain Artic it is posted in other posts....The IM came out after I recieved the card. By the way all after more insight to this saying, it not only comes from Willie Nelsons song, but it is also an old Naval saying that the ex picked up while serving on the US NIMITZ< years ago, and he has recently just retired from the Navy! Thanks for the continued suppport!
Art_Critic Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Nothing to explain Artic it is posted in other posts....The IM came out after I recieved the card. I didn't mean it to come across sarcastic.. Your post asked where you had heard it before and I had read your other post earlier.. So I put the two together.. You didn't mention anything in your 2nd post about the letter ... I think he is trying to keep his name/memories on your brain..
Author coasting Posted February 6, 2006 Author Posted February 6, 2006 Sorry Artic for misunderstanding.......... He is trying to his name and memories on my mind, but he doesn't have to work hard at it, because we see each other just about everyday. We both work in the local hospital, muself in the emrgency room and he is a security guard there. I also learned today that there are quite a few problems over at his new residence.....my name being one of the biggest.....but guess what, ONWARD AND UPWARD for this girl.....I have learned I deserve so much better then a lying, cheating, egotistic man in my life.... I only deserve the best and that is what I am going for from this day forward!

Keep this attitude on the forefront.. it is a great attitude to have and will help your self preservation and help with moving on and forgetting about him.. Good Luck to you..
