Not looking forward to Valentine's Day!

Why you ask? In my last relationship, the man I was involved with was spending Valentine's Day with another woman. That's not the first time it happened. In my relationship before that one, my ex-fiance spent Valentine's Day out of town with another woman. I've spent the last three Valentine's Day alone, and as the day gets closer, I get sadder. I know I shouldn't feel this way, but I do. It's been almost a year since we broke up, but I don't feel that I've fully gotten over it. How I deal with this?

Pah, Valentines day is just another day, if anything its designed by marketing companies to earn businesses more revenue after xmas. Markets like cards, jewelrey shops etc. take a huge slump in profits in January, and V day in Feb is just there to give them a boost again.

 

Sure if you have a partner its fun to fool around, and do the cards and gifts thing for fun, (and as us single guys know, its easy to get laid on valentines ) but if you're single or not interestedn, just forget about it.

Look, Valentine's Day is about loving someone, -not necessarily being in love with someone.

 

Love your children, your mom, dad, siblings, friends, -anyone- and if you still just can't seem to find an outlet for giving some affection away, -go someplace where they really, really need to feel loved and cared about: nursing homes, hospitals, shelters.

 

If you look, you'll find someone to love.

 

And don't forget to show some love to a very important 'someone' in your life, -you!

Not to be the immature one here. But i think that it hurts because we all know that our ex is gonna screw someone else on that night. I know it hurts me...but i cant do anything about it.
