Geoffrey, do you think it's better to live your faith and let it show through your actions and your life choices than to talk about it all the time?

Oh, absolutely....since you asked, I think the LAST thing we really need is another Bible study....and more people stepping out and really LIVING what they believe in....because actions really do speak louder than words. ;)

Well, I don't know if I agree with you on that one...after all, it is written that "man does not live by bread alone...but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God."

But Geoffrey, I do see your point about living the faith....and after all, Martin Luther did say that "faith without works is dead."

Well, I did do some volunteer work with a food ministry here in Cleveland and that taught me more about what God's love and provision is about than most of the Bible studies I'd been to in awhile.

I think one needs a balance between the two, actually....

:) :) :)

you remind me of my niece when she was small. We'd catch her carrying on dialogue upon dialogue with her "finger people" because she couldn't find anyone to play with her! What's funny now is that we do it with her kids, and she just smiles ...

silent Christians: People who listen closely to their hearts are able to discern the means of sharing God with others. Sometimes it's through active participation – like Bible study or serving others – other times it's through prayer, and others, through conversation. You've got to get a feeling for the lay of the land before using that gift of discernment. However, people tend to put take stock in your actions more than your words, so the best way to model the Jesus you love is to act like him. Personally, it makes faith become more alive because I'm seeing AND feeling it.
