It's wrong to make the assumption that all men are selfish and all women are possessive just because that's what you're experiencing in your relationship right now. By no means are all men selfish, let alone all women possessive. Find a different man that isn't selfish, and work on your own problems as well. As for how to understand your boyfriend better...Talking always works. You'd be surprised by how many couples break up due to lack of communication. Your boyfriend cannot read your mind.
