cygny Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Question for the men--what kind of woman intimidates you--beautiful? smart? independent? have you ever been attracted to a woman with some or all of these attributes? how did you act around her? Did you react? what did she have to do to break down the barrier so you could like her and be relaxed?
slubberdegullion Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 The only woman who intimidates me now is my mother. She just has to give me that "evil eye" and all of a sudden I'm 8 years old again.
alphamale Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Question for the men--what kind of woman intimidates you -a beautiful woman will not intimidate me -a smart woman will not intimidated me -an independent woman will not intimidate me -a beautiful, smart and independent woman WILL intimidate me its a good thing there are very few women who have all three.
cal gal Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 -a beautiful woman will not intimidate me -a smart woman will not intimidated me -an independent woman will not intimidate me -a beautiful, smart and independent woman WILL intimidate me its a good thing there are very few women who have all three. Alpha, Know wonder I intimidate most men!!!!! Guess you want to stay away from me then...
CaliGuy Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Question for the men--what kind of woman intimidates you--beautiful? smart? independent? have you ever been attracted to a woman with some or all of these attributes? how did you act around her? Did you react? what did she have to do to break down the barrier so you could like her and be relaxed? Short answer: None. Extremely beautiful women do sometimes make me a bit apprehensive but I get over it quickly. I can't say I'm intimidated, more or less captivated by their looks. Rarely I've ever met a woman that intimidates me. In fact, the more successful, independent and powerful they are, the more I'm attracted to them
hooghie Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Alpha, Know wonder I intimidate most men!!!!! Guess you want to stay away from me then... Yeah, stay away from me too!
cal gal Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Short answer: None. Extremely beautiful women do sometimes make me a bit apprehensive but I get over it quickly. In what way would you define "apprehensive"???? How would a gal know you were being apprehensive? How would she know you got over her looks? I guess I am confused...
Woggle Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 No woman intimidates me. Certain women turn me off and I have been accused of being intimidated by them but repulsed would be a better description of what I felt. I am with a beautiful, smart and independent woman right now so none of those qualities bother me.
CaliGuy Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 In what way would you define "apprehensive"???? Kind of hard to explain but to put it in perspective, they are usually around a ton of people. Hard to get her alone to get any time to talk to her. Most men won't approach them. If I saw a beautiful woman alone eating or at a bar, I would sit next to her and say hello. How would a gal know you were being apprehensive? How would she know you got over her looks? Because the questions I ask delve more into who she is, not what she is
riobikini Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 From the unwritten mega-volumes belonging to the 'Secret Ya-Ya Women's Club', here's a bit of truth for men: Women know when they intimidate you, too. (Smile) -Rio
slubberdegullion Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 ...the questions I ask delve more into who she is, not what she is This is probably the best dating advice I've ever seen, wrapped up into one sentence. Friggin brilliant.
kitten chick Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Sometimes the beautiful, smart, and independent women are the ones that are nucking futs.
Woggle Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Also the women who seem to boast the most about being beautiful, smart and independent are neither besutiful, smart or independent.

Is that superficial from the start or did I miss something? I love to watch a room full of people and it seems to me that the most genuine folks are willing to embrace a conversation with a two year old or an 80 year old as much as someone in their own age range! Now THAT is sexy - and the person I want to speak to in a room!
slubberdegullion Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Yes, however Slub, CG indicated that he sat next to her intially because she was beautiful. Is that superficial from the start or did I miss something? Being attracted to someone is hardly superficial, don't you think?
Breed Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I enjoy smart girls, beautiful girls but not so much independant girls. The only thing i find intimidating in women is a bad attitude and/or taller than me. A bad attitude is such a turn off, and whilst being 6ft myself there are some girls who are taller than me and even though they have sexy long legs i dont find them attractive at all. Must be the whole dominant/submissive thing.
slubberdegullion Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 there are some girls who are taller than me and even though they have sexy long legs i dont find them attractive at all. Care to pass along their numbers?
cal gal Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 He said "a beautiful woman sitting at the bar" I was only pointing out that there are MANY reasons to consider someone attractive or beautiful. Usually it is their charisma, intelligence, positive outlook and confidence that will attract me every time. I think qualities make a person attractive more than looks. I could be wrong.... he he!
hooghie Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I enjoy smart girls, beautiful girls but not so much independant girls. Why don't you like a girl who is independent? Do you want her to be dependent on you or dependent in general? Do you have some control issues?
cal gal Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 A "smart" girl will make a man think she depends on him even if she is totally independent. Are you confused yet?
SmoochieFace Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I'm not *intimidated* by hot or beautiful women... I'm just not interested in them.
Woggle Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Why don't you like a girl who is independent? Do you want her to be dependent on you or dependent in general? Do you have some control issues? I like independent women but there is a big difference between independent and having a manhating men are disposable type of mentality which I think is what he is referring to.
hooghie Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 A "smart" girl will make a man think she depends on him even if she is totally independent. Are you confused yet? Well said!! :lmao:
cal gal Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 I often feel sorry for women that don't enjoy everything about men. Dang, so much to admire!
kitten chick Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Alright I really just wanted to be quippy with this thread (see previous KC post) because it seems so silly but I do have something to blather on about. All of those things, (beauty, intelligence, and independence) are not necessarily good things. Beautiful women are constantly being used. Who wants to be a trophy wife/girlfriend? I would rather have someone like me for who I am than what I look like. Intelligent women have a difficult time finding men who can match their intellect. (same goes for intelligent men) They also tend to be more introverted or opinonated although not always the case and usually not both. Neither of which seems to be a turn on to many men although it is to some. Independent women come in lots of forms. At the end of the day, men generally want to be needed and depended on. Independent women make men feel less adequate. You can read on many a thread various men saying what does this woman need a man for if she's fiscally, physically, and emotionally independent? Not true of all men but it seems to be a prevailing majority.
