lindya Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Screw the warm fuzzies....... not what it was meant to be. For example if you had a hot lady that was telling you that your the man of all men and met your house keeping and sexual needs, and dug threesomes you would probably feel like you were in love That's an excellent point, a4a! I think we all have a narcissistic streak in us that yearns for someone to recognise the tremendous being we secretly believe ourselves to be. So when you're feeling at rock bottom, then someone comes along and tells you you're f***ing great, they're particularly likely to become a source. As in "Bloody hell, I was starting to doubt my own fabulousness until this very intelligent and tasteful individual came along. But then, of course, the inner devil says "This person must be a total idiot for not seeing what a piece of crap you really are. Other people saw it in you, so why can't they?" Hence the need to surround oneself by grounded people who will tear a strip of your inner Narcissus when he/she emerges, but will also deal firmly with your inner self-loathing devil. Love is maybe what comes along when you can handle being in a relationship that involves both dishing out and taking that balanced approach.

QUOTE] yes and thus my ending of a repeat cycle: build up ego of ones feeling lowly, then they turn into ego maniacs..... I learned that one early on. The cycle is broken. a4a
honeybunch2k5 Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Stop asking such idle questions and join me me in my plans to become a happy nun with a great complexion. It's never to late to start taking care of your skin. Oh, and as Jesus's brides we also don't have to look for a husband anymore. Yay! Sounds like a plan..Where can I join? Best thing is we don't have to put out anymore lol! Love is feeling like the other person understands you and having good chemistry. You have differences, but you have much in common. It is also a commitment. This means both partners get their needs fulfilled, and they stay together through the good times and the bad. Being in love is wanting time apart occasionally but looking forward to spending lots of time with the SO. Love is exactly what I can't find.
a4a Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Love is exactly what I can't find. I found mine, it rolled to the very back of the dresser drawer. But the batteries were dead....... so I guess in a way I only partially got it. a4a
