digital-i Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Picture this; it's Sunday night, a little after 6 o clock, you're sat with your kids watching a DVD and your phone rings. It's a friend of yours asking if you want to go to the cinema at around 8. Your response is "Maybe. Although I should have finished bathing the kids by then, so probably. I'll ring you later about 7 and let you know". At which point, your girlfriend practically refuses to talk to you, and goes into a sullen sulk, even though you haven't actually agreed to anything? As it happened, by 7 o clock you couldn't be bothered and rang back to let your friend know you won't be there. No change in cold shoulder from girlfriend. Today (Monday), she tries to blame you by saying "If you didn't want to go then why didn't you say so, instead of lying". I tried explaining "Because I didn't know if I wanted to at 6, that's why I rang back later", but that didn't seem to wash. This isn't an isolated incident, but this particular one got me so wound up that I've had to write it down just to vent! Do the rest of you put up with petty behaviour like this?
