my first post...bare with me...

I met this girl at a social function we both attend. She showed immediate interest in me. For the next few weeks, on each occasion she would try to be near me and talk to me, definitely coming onto me and flirting, trying to get my attention. I was trying to establish rappor with her before jumping in. I asked her out and she seemed very excited. We went out one time. We had fun and she said she wanted to see me again. However, she didn't return a phone call (I called 4 days later). She finally called me a week after that and said "she had too much going on and there was no chemistry". That is totally opposite of what she communicted before. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. She was working 50+ hours/week (was getting home at 7pm, usually), was involved in other social functions at least 3 nights per week. Usually when women come onto me they are VERY interested, so that's why I went with it. It's wierd she cut it off after one date. It seems she would have wanted to get to me know me better, if she was that interested (aka 2 or 3 dates at least).

Any opinions welcome.

What doubt? Do you mean you doubt her when she says she doesn't want to see you again?

It seems she got to know all she needed to.

I don't see any mixed signals here. She was interested in dating you, you dated once, she's not interested in dating again. Such is dating life.

I agree with blue -- there are NOT any mixed signals here. Forget about her.

Well, yeah just forget her. There will be other interested girls out there. You have to understand that it is all a game. Its just a matter of how you play the game and don't GET PLAYED. Sometimes in life you meet people who have that on/off switch. And even though she worked all these hours, remember this: YOU MAKE TIME FOR WHATEVER IT IS YOU WANT TO MAKE TIME FOR. :D
