a4a Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Helping a friend out with a bit of investigating. I just downloaded a trial version of Golden Eye on my computer to see how it pans out for him without putting his mission at risk...... still checking it out now to see how it does...... free 15 day trial. Have any of you used a program like this, and how can you be sure that they do not dig around and find it? We do not want to install anything on his until we are damn sure it won't pop up for sure and alert his W. what a mess.......... a4a
Craig Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 Install it on your computer first, see how it runs and try to find it.

I agree with the previous poster that you should try installing the software and see if it is detected by the antispyware software (if any) on the system. In my case, I run several antispyware programs and tried installing a keylogging program to monitor my wife's emailings, but the keylogger showed up in spyware scans so I had to resort to other methods of observation (I looked over her shoulder as she typed her password -- sometimes low-tech methods work best!). Good luck.

Art_Critic Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I use spector pro from spector soft at work on occasion.. On older machines there is a performance hit if you have it take snapshots of the screen all the time.. Great software though
