NateOfQuestions Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I just went on a first date last night, and in general it went really well. A simple glass of wine lasted about 2.5 hours. My question is if I call her tonight and ask her over for dinner at my place for later in the week. Am I making a mistake or a good move? Thanks, Nate
mel777 Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I think calling her tongiht is fine. It's nice when I guy is interested enough not to try and wait to call when he thinks it's been "long enough" not to appear too eager. As for dinner at your house, this is just my opinion but that's too much for me to do on a second date. I just wouldn't go to any guys house on a second date I wouldn't feel comfortable. i think you should ask her to dinner for the second date and take her out. Leave dinner at the house until you're at the point where you've gone on a few dates and some lip action has occurred :-)
clynn Posted January 16, 2006 Posted January 16, 2006 I totally agree. Definitely call and ask her out again. But taking her out on a date will be better than dinner at your house. If you're looking to do something cheaper, she shouldn't mind if you find an inexpensive restaurant.

It shows that she is intelligent, sophisticated, and over 'playing games'. Unfortunately:( , NateOfQuestions, such girls are very few and far between. Wait until the next day or two before calling her and asking her out. Some girls are going to be okay with dinner over at you place and some are not. Did you kiss her yet? Was it a quick peck on the cheek, or a long-lasting, deep passionate kiss? Better that you know she's at least comfortable with this before dinner at your place.
clynn Posted January 17, 2006 Posted January 17, 2006 And how you met will probably also make the difference about whether it is dinner at your place or not. If you met over the internet or in a public setting, then you might wanna wait. If you've been friends for a while and are just getting to know each other, then go for it, I think.

If you met in a club or bar, home.
