Ok so I have spent the evening talking to a g/f of mine who is so upset at her breakup with a guy she was dating, but not seriously - She has not heard from him for a month now even though she has contacted him by text a few times but he did not reply. I have advised her to not contact him anymore (He dumped her by reducing contact and then stopping calling her) but she is petrified that it will be out of sight, out of mind. So what I want to know is this, so I can tell her as I have no real experience of dating - How many times have guys come back to you when you do not contact them? Is no contact the best way to get someone back? I think it is the only way for her to go but she is heartbroken and all she can think about is seeing him again. She only saw him every few weeks but she was sorta smitten with him and he seemed just as smitten. From personal experience I know that she is best off without him but she is not listening to me as she is so upset - It would be cool to have some evidence of life experiences to show her!

Almost never, and if he does come back it will only be by his own desire. He likely is seeing someone else, and always has been. She has nothing to gain by calling/texting him further. "Is no contact the best way to get someone back?" Best way to get a girl back? Maybe. A guy? No, but its better than sending text after text. "It would be cool to have some evidence of life experiences to show her!" The only times I've ever NCed a girl for more than a week is when I had already decided 100% that it was over.
