With most exercises, what matters is that you get your heart rate up so that you burn calories. Some people can and do sweat more than others, but I have noticed that I don't really sweat much when I am doing certain exercises. Today, for example, I did pilates for about a half hour on YouTube. I worked myself as hard as possible and did the exercises intensely, but I didn't sweat much. I got a good workout in and feel the effects (ex. Soreness afterwards), but I didn't sweat much while the person in the workout video clearly was. It could depend on other factors (the temperature in the room while they were doing it, multiple takes, etc.). The only times I really sweat is when it's hot outside and I am on a long walk / run, in spinning classes, or maybe when I am doing hot yoga in a room that the room temperature is deliberately turned up or the A/C is off.

Does this happen to anyone else?
