Deirdre Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Just wanted some opinions. How can you tell if you're on a date or just a casual hanging out?
Art_Critic Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 If your asking then is most likely is just hanging out.. Who pays for dinner can make a difference.. The feelings you each have for one another can also decide whether it is a date or not. More info needed .. What are we talking about here? anything specific ?
Author Deirdre Posted January 15, 2006 Author Posted January 15, 2006 he did the asking, and paid for the expenses, but i accepted the invitation based solely on wanting to be friends and it dawned on me that it seemed more like a date.

Him asking and paying for the evening meant it was a date to him..

I find it difficult to believe that you had any doubt that he was asking you for a date. If you only wanted to be friends with him, then why did you accept the date and let him pay for everything?
Gator762 Posted January 15, 2006 Posted January 15, 2006 Yeah, I'm not being harsh, but if your intention was to just be friends you shouldn't have let him pay. It's financially hard enough on us guys paying for the women that want to date us!

Gee. He asked you out, you let him pay, and you "think" it may have been a date? Are you that oblivious or just cheap? You sound like you played this guy so as to get a free ride. Look, I'll tell you what I tell all lil double standard chickies. This is not 1955. Guys don't expect you to do their laundry, don't expect them to be your prince charming-ESPECIALLY if you are only friends. 1
