FredEire Posted August 30 Posted August 30 It sounds like a pretty standard OLD experience, given youre new to it after a long relationship you haven't gotten used to the good, the bad and the ugly of it yet. I agree that you are too fresh out of your relationship, part of you wants to heal the wound of your ex by subbing someone else in straight away and it sounds like you are maybe projecting things onto this woman. While she may have got this vibe and went cold on you theres a million other reasons this could have happened as well. It's a very common experience to have what seemed like a great date result in nothing. Let the wounds heal, do other stuff and focus on friendships and family for a while. If you think you can have a casual relationship maybe try this while being very upfront about what you want, and not just "getting under someone to get over someone" so to speak. Given how much this encounter has affected you maybe its better just to not date altogether for the time being, but that's for you to judge. I certainly think that if you're looking at getting into another relationship it would be a rebound at this stage and wouldn't be likely to end well for you or her as she'd get directly compared to your ex rather than allowed to be her own person in the new relationship. MissCMadness Posted Tuesday at 01:28 AM Posted Tuesday at 01:28 AM If you've only been single a couple of weeks, fair play to you for even thinking of going on a date, let alone actually going on one. But I also wouldn't read too much into this. Its a first date, they very rarely go well. Maybe just take some time before putting yourself out there again. You might still need to heal from the break up. Good luck to you Quote
