rfd1283 Posted Saturday at 07:44 PM Posted Saturday at 07:44 PM After a 6 year separation, I am finally getting a divorce. It's taken a long time because we mutually agreed that we should wait until our kids are emancipated. The youngest will be emancipated next summer (2026). I've been in a relationship (somewhat long distance) for most of those 6 years. However, there was about a one-year break in that relationship. There were a few complications that led to the break. During that break I was with somebody else. That relationship got off to a fast start and then went south just as fast. I never got over the break up with the first one. We ended up getting back together. So I guess taking a break worked! However, the complications that led to the first break up still exist. I clearly enjoy being with her a lot. I believe I love her - at the very least I really like her. But the complications have me doubting the extent of my feelings. And now, I feel a bit smitten with somebody at work. There's been a little flirting. I don't really want to go through what I went through previously. I guess I need somebody to talk to . . . but what forum? Divorce? There are many issues I would like to talk about there. Long distance relationships? Dating? Flirting? Dare I say cheating? Business and professional relationship? Transitioning? My issues could go just about any where! I am all over the map. Quote
Gebidozo Posted yesterday at 12:45 AM Posted yesterday at 12:45 AM What were the complications leading to that break? Quote
ShyViolet Posted yesterday at 05:27 AM Posted yesterday at 05:27 AM You're being very vague. If you give more details about your situation, we can give you advice. What are the "complications"? 1 Quote
Els Posted yesterday at 07:29 AM Posted yesterday at 07:29 AM Umm, I'm really confused. Is there actually a question here? How can people possibly tell you what forum to post in when you've told us basically nothing about what sort of question you have? Quote
