oss91 Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Earlier today she wanted to be added as one of my friends on myspace. I promptly declined. Now she just IMed me. I'm not going to respond. Haven't talked to her in a week and I don't care how long I go without communicating with her. I know yesterday she had a bad day, thinks guys suck right now, and just wants me to boost her ego. Nah, I don't think I'll play along. Unless she's trying to apologize and work things out between us, I don't care what she has to say.
Author oss91 Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 Well now I know exactly why she IMed me. She got "dumped" last night by her knew guy that she's been hanging out with for a month or so I guess. Gee, imagine what it's like after 6 1/2 years.
CaliGuy Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 oss91, that's great for you. Just stick to your guns, stick to NC and let her soak a bit in her mistakes. Don't rush in to save the day. She needs to learn from this. And so do you. Calm, confident, self-assured, etc. You don't need her in your life. You might want her, but you'll be fine without her. As long as you continue to have hobbies, hang with friends, go to the gym and otherwise occupy your time, she'll see that. Whatever you do, no begging or pleading! And you are right, unless she comes to you apologetically and says she loves you and wants to try again I would ignore all messages.
Author oss91 Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 It's hard right now b/c I know what she's feeling. I consider myself a gentleman. I am kind-hearted, caring, and respect others. But at the same time I am a man in that I will not be taken advantage of and disrespected by anyone. I want to be there for her b/c I still care about her and hate to see her get hurt, but then again this girl did the same thing to me and I'm none too damned happy about it. I hope this makes her actually stop and think. I don't expect it will though.
CaliGuy Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Turnabout is fair play. Let her feel like you do for once.
Author oss91 Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 I use IM probably on average once every two months. Forgot about the blocker thing.
