a girl today, i saw her at one of the leg presses near the exit, and the only way to make room so i wouldn't run into her was to go around the beam, as i was approaching her area she move to my lane and looked at whatever she was looking at. a few dyas ago, she was kind of gazing in my direction from across the gym. another time she had to walk right past me to grab dumbells and she nearly was bending over right in front of me. she looked back seemingly surprised  i was there, even though she had to walk righ past me to get to her weights. is there anything there? or am i somehow being creepy? i;ve literally done nothing to be deeemed creepy at least in my view point. sorry if these are obviously not signs, im bad at reading cues.

I presume you’re not mute, so why not smile at her and start a conversation? If she responds positively she’s likely interested, if she ignores you she’s not. Fairly straightforward.

i actually smiled at her once and she seemed surprised.

You have not interacted with her enough to determine if she has an interest in you.

Try striking up casual small talk with her. She either reciprocates and you can take it from there, or she doesn't and you know it's a dead-end.

Try saying "Hello."

it sounds like she's a person at the gym doing gym things that have no relevance to you, so you're probably imagining it because you are attracted to her.  at least, none of what you are describing sound like anything that would be unusual.

Stop being a schlep, say hello and introduce yourself.

reading signals can be confusing. from what you shared, it doesn’t sound like you’re being creepy at all. just keep being respectful and friendly. if she’s interested, she’ll likely make it clearer over time. 🙂

You certainly aren't outwardly creepy, but I'm also seeing a girl who's simply doing gym things.

People aren't blind and they do notice others in the gym.  I'm sure you've looked at an exercise another guy is doing and thought to add it to your repertoire.  Or that their positioning is better than yours and you could try it that way.   It's also not uncommon to nod or smile at someone you see regularly.   It's normal to bend over and pick up dumbbells when someone is exercising behind you.  I don't know why she didn't see you when walking past to the dumbbells, but if she was into you, she would have seen you there and not got a scare
