There's a singles mixer I was thinking of attending and on this one dating app it lists matches that are going. When I checked it's 1 woman I went out with and actually posted about here a few years ago and another I talked on the phone with, but wasn't interested in her. The one I met in person I asked out again and she never replied, but I wasn't that crazy about her. She was a very creative type that spoke loudly and I also messed up during the conversation since I didn't know how to react to something she said. Also I checked later and there was a deal breaker with her I didn't realize before so I'm not interested in her anymore.

Now that I see they're going I'm not quite sure how to handle it if I were to go too. It seems like everyone meets in a restaurant and they have some ice breaker games and things going on.

Besides the one that didn't want to go out with me I'm especially worried about the one I never called back.

Is it going to make for an uncomfortable situation? How should I handle it if I go?

Well you never even met one of them and it's been several years since you have seen the one you did meet so it's not really that big of a deal. Chances are she probably doesn't even remember the situation with you all that well.

Just go and talk to the people you find interesting and they can do the same. I personally don't really like single mixers as most of the time they are extremely awkward but if you want to give it a chance don't let a couple women you haven't interacted with for awhile now affect your decision.

Thanks. I'm just trying to get away from strictly using apps to try to find someone. I hope the one I met doesn't remember because like I was definitely not at my best, but learned from the experience. She actually works close to where I play tennis and I saw her walking in the parking lot one day after I played and she knows some of the same people as me. So I don't want there to be anything awkward.

With the other one she was very smart and I enjoyed the conversation, but I found out about a deal breaker while we were talking so I didn't call her back.

From the app I can see there are a 2 or 3 women going that I might be interested in. It also shows some guys that are going and there are a couple that are 5'7, but then the next shortest is a few at 5'10 and everyone else is listed at 6' or above. There's a few at 6'4 or 6'5. At 5'10 I never really thought of myself as short, but if women care about height the competition is rough.

There was another singles event next week that was cancelled that I think I would have enjoyed more, but I figured it doesn't hurt to give this one a try.
