scared shy Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 So I haven't written in awhile and it feels good to once again be back. I sent an e-mail to my ex a week ago through his ebay account, he recently broke up with my ex best friend and was selling a bunch of her stuff on ebay and I couldn't resist... I sent a one liner not really overtly rude, but it was not intended to be buddies again. He e-mailed me back, telling me how happy he is with his new girlfriend, whom he got a week after him and his ex (my ex best friend) broke up... he thinks he can settle down with this one after a month and a half. Maybe so, but judging by his past, it's highly unlikely. Anyway, I was surprised by the fact that he wrote me all about what he has been up to and wanted to make sure I knew he never cheated on me, it's been over two years since we broke up and about the same amount of time since we have spoken or seen eachother... I am glad that we are now at least on civilized emailing terms, but I never expected that... we had a very horrible break up. I am just wondering why he made a point in both of his emails in the last week to reiterate he did not cheat on me... and NO I am not thinking about getting back together or would not even entertain that thought... I am just wondering why it's almost as if he is trying to convince himself this is the girl for him and make me believe he didn't screw around on me... why would he even bother after 2 years... any thoughts?
