ikonik Posted April 24 Posted April 24 she just said my name then "hello darling" does it mean anything?
basil67 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 This is how my mum greets me, and it means she loves me But seriously, how about some context?

Given you barely know her, I imagine it's a standard pet name. Much the same as "pet" or "love". One of my SILs uses 'darling' to greet friends and family Edited April 25 by basil67
Alpacalia Posted April 25 Posted April 25 She's being casually flirty towards you at this point. She doesn't know you well enough for it to mean anything deeper—it's just her way of testing the waters, seeing how you respond. Talk to her if you want to see where it goes. 1

basil67 Posted April 25 Posted April 25 Also, she barely knows you. This is another reason I think it's a generic term for greeting those around her

It's just a way to rail you in. She disappeared for 4 days so she's buttering it thick so you reply. She's a player. You fixate on 'hey darling' but you don't seem annoyed she was silent for 4 days. Question: When you say she went quiet do you mean you sent a message and she did not get back to you for 4 days OR you did nothing and waited for her to contact you? Still, calling a stranger 'darling' online has always been a big turn off for me.
