So I'm at a job that I am probably going to be leaving soon. There's a girl there that I think likes me because she has shown a lot of interest in getting to know me. She asks me a lot of questions about myself, I catch her staring at me a lot and it's just kinda a vibe with her. She doesn't know that I might leave soon and I'm like heck, why not ask her out. I asked her on Microsoft teams, because she's been out of office, if she'd want to help me with a project after work that she has shown interest in helping me with in the past. She replied with "I'd love too" and hearted my message.

I got her number and I texted her that evening. I asked if she'd want to meet up on the weekend or next week. She replied immediately that next week is better and thanked me for reaching out. I asked her to let me know what day works for her and she replied immediately and asked if after work is okay with me. I said after work is ok and I don't mind that.

So I never got a response to that and it was last Friday. I texted her this morning to follow up and asked if there was a good day for her. I never got a response. I'm not super knowledgeable about dating in general but I'm just slightly confused. I get that some people might say just move on but I am also curious if anyone has any feedback about this sort of thing.

There is nothing about dating in your post. You asked a coworker to help you with a project, she agreed. You asked her again which day, she didn’t reply yet. I guess she’ll reply later?

I mean, you are the one who needs help with the project, not her. It’s hard to understand why you’d expected her to be so eager about helping you that you can’t wait a couple of days for her to choose a time that would be convenient for her.

You're the one asking for help, so it's up to you to drive this conversation.  Did you ask a question which she hasn't answered?  Or did you leave the conversation hanging like you wrote here?

Also, if you want to date someone, don't ask them for help on a project.  Ask them on a date!

The project is a personal hobby that actually helps her with something. I did reply directly and she never answered

The project is a personal hobby about a mutual shared interest

This is a hang out of mates.  If you're interested in her romantically, ask her on a proper date

Either way, pick up the ball and organise a day and time

I got the impression he was planning to gauge things during this meet-up and, if all was well, to ask her out. I may be wrong, though.

There are two possibilities that I can think of:

1. If she hasn't shown up to work in this entire time, she may be sick (or preoccupied with some personal problem).

2. Maybe she chickened out or just wasn't interested in something concrete happening in the first place. Sometimes people feel attracted to other people and admire them, but they're not actually looking to date them. They may already be in a relationship or may have decided that it wouldn't work out(for whatever reason).
