Wondering if I can overcome a boyfriends past with interest to continue his lifestyle . I know you can't make someone love you

There is no single answer to this.  It would all depend on the reasons why he did so, and how much of a 'lifestyle' it was

Do you mean that he used to pay for sex a lot and wants to continue doing that even though he is in a committed relationship with you?

Or do you mean that he used to do it, but isn’t doing it currently and hasn’t expressed a desire to continue doing that?

If it’s the first, break up with him, obviously you don’t want to be with someone whose addiction prevents him from having a monogamous relationship.

If it’s the second, then don’t worry, as long as he isn’t interested in that kind of thing anymore, there is no reason to assume this habit will ever return. Of course it is possible to stop paying for sex, just as it is possible to stop drinking, smoking, or do drugs.

Please test for STDs if you decide to date and have sex with the man.

Don'y worry about his past, it's his current attitude towards women that you need to be concerned about. Listen to the way he speaks about women. Is he condescending or dismissive towards them? Is he a sexist who believes all women can be bought? How does he interact with women when you're out with him - does he treat males and females the same or does his voice tone and demeanor change around women?
