Hey everyone.  Hope you all had a good Christmas.  Its been a few years since I posted on this forum.  Would like to say how finding this forum helped me a lot getting through my breakup all those years ago.  I was thinking recently that I have kept no contact for over 10 years now.  Blocking her on facebook etc so I wouldn't get her and her husband popping up as suggested friends.  What is the longest anyone has kept NC going?

"No Contact" is a phrase used for when you're starting to move on without them and are making a conscious decision to keep space.   If you haven't spoken to them in 10 years, then it's simply that you've moved on.   Good on you

I don’t think this qualifies as “no contact” in the usual sense of “a period of time during which a person deliberately avoids contact that would have caused emotional turmoil and forestall mental healing”. You’ve probably just moved on.

Otherwise, the longest time I haven’t had any contact whatsoever with an ex, haven’t searched her online,  received no updates or information about her, and so on, would be about 25 years, I guess.
