jen_jen_heartbroken Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 Hear that? That's the sound of my biological clock. Time is running out and my ovaries are drying up. So frustrating. I hate the dating process. I hate that I've wasted so many of my reproductive years with the wrong guy. And then when I find one I think will be "the one", I can't help but wonder if it will end up like all the others, and then I'll be at square one again. I love my boyfriend with all my heart, but I'm scared that I'll end up one of those women who will be with the same guy for years on end without a commitment. I wish a crystal ball to tell me if he'll eventually propose or if I'm just wasting more of my time. 1
dnm1010 Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 have u talked to him about what he wants in his future and what u want in yours? that was one of the first talks my bf and i had. we saw that we were both on the same page regarding what we want in the near and far future..
Author jen_jen_heartbroken Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 Yeah, we did talk. We are on the same page. The problem is that most guys will tell you that they are marriage-minded....but then you find out later (after a couple of wasted years) that they didn't mean marriage-minded about you.

Author jen_jen_heartbroken Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 I hear ya. I wish I had advice for you At least I can commiserate. I knew you would. Thanks for letting me vent.
johan Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 So, jen, how old are you? How loudly is the clock ticking?
Author jen_jen_heartbroken Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 Don't you know you're not supposed to ask a lady her age?
johan Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Don't you know you're not supposed to ask a lady her age? Ok. How about this: at what age do the ovaries get dry enough that one should begin worrying?
whichwayisup Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 At 40 I would be worried. JJ, I know you're not even CLOSE to 40, so trust me babe, you got TONS of time. Tons...
whichwayisup Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 How much?? Not for me to tell...But, if you were paying attention my dear you'd know her age because it has been mentioned in another post. Just can't remember when that was...Sorry, tough luck babycakes!
JS17 Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I just keep telling myself that my life won't be over if I don't get married and have kids. I can still do the things that I love to do even if it's on my own. Sounds like you're ok in the bf department these days though.
Mary3 Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Do you want a marraige and a child or just a child ? You can acheive the second one with some medical help. Would you consider raising a child alone ?
