He asked me if I wanted to go with him and I said I don't know because it isn't really my scene, but on the other hand I think once I got into it and started dancing and being less self conscious I could have a lot of fun... and then I THOUGHT he said "yeah, I probably won't dance much and just hit on girls." So I said "yeah, I don't think I would have fun if you were hitting on girls." This made me really grumpy so I sulked for about 2 minutes and then I tried to bring it up like "You know.... um... (stutter stutter)... what you just said... um crap, now I am making a big deal out of it... grr... well, now I don't want to go because I will feel like I am keeping you from having fun and dancing with girls, but if I don't go I will be jealous of you hitting on girls..." So he is like "Emo, I hardly ever flirt with girls since I have been with you (we both agree that a bit of innocent flirting is ok as along as we don't pretend to be single), especially not if we go together, I will be hanging out with you." Me: "but you just said you wanted to go to hit on girls!" Him: "No, I said I won't dance much this time because I used to dance at raves just to hit on girls and I wouldn't take E either, I would just hang out with you..." Geez, I feel stupid.... but the stupidity was the price I paid to find out once again that he really is happy to be with me so that is rad... For New Years we ended up staying at his house and sharing a bottle of wine and watching Secondhand Lions and 50 First Dates and South Park and playing Goldeneye then at midnight we went for a walk and then made stirfry on a hotplate in this half finished cottage he is building out in the woods... it was nice....
