Hey all - Newbie Here....

I've been with my GF now for almost 3 years, we've had our fair share of ups and downs but definatly no more than any other relationship. The last 12 months has been brilliant, we had a fantastic christmas and new year and have been looking forward to 2006 as a year in which she is 21 and i even considered asking her to marry me at some time...

I can almost hear you asking why i'm posting as everything in the garden seems rosy, but here we go....

A couple of days ago, we were getting ready to go out, and as i left the room I said "I love you" and left. I then popped back and said "I think!" for a bit of a joke. I then walked off and thought nothing of it...

Throughout last nite and ALL today, my mind has been occupied asking myself if I really love her! I can't seem to get it out of my head, and it's really upsetting me. I just can't stop thinking about it. I know deep down in my heart that i do love her, yet my head continues to ask questions, and i'm becoming a bit paranoid !

What should I do :(

its natural for ppl to ask themselves questions. try to look inside u for answers or even post the questions on here and maybe we can help u asnwer them. i dont think u should propose anytime soon, until youre sure about everything. also, if uve been thinking about getting married u might be a little nervous inside and might just be doubting yourself. i think thats natural.

overall, its good to ask yourselves questions and not to take everything for granted. be honest with yourself.

do or dont, there is no try

as yoda would say...great quote imo

anyways its the same as love

you love her or you dont, there isnt a fuzzy ok yes i dont but do feeling

if you've been with her for 3 years i think its time to question why you still question your feelings for her.

oh also, i think when ure with someone for a while u should question whether ure with them cos u love them or cos its comfortable. r u with them cos uve been with them for 3 yrs or cos u really want to be with them...

Thanks for your replies everybody !

Lucas - if there is no "Do or Don't" what happens in the middle when you start to fall in love ? You don't just wake up one day and realise your in love do you ?

I just feel that I should know, maybe it is a bit like cold feet by considering to ask her to marry me - before i thought of that, i was just confident and assured that we were meant for each other.....part of me still thinks we are - but a minor niggle is just at the other side...I really don't want to lose her because of a niggle and we've spent anothe couple of happy hours together this afternoon.... i just don't understand why I have to know so despratly - why can't i just forget it and let what will be - be !

um well when you start falling in love...then yes your in love with the girl

if you're planning on marryin the girl then yes its normal to get cold feet

i mean your now dedicating all your time and attention to this girl, and that you're bound by paper and god (or w/e depending on your religion).
