For me, it's definitely mornings....usually between 8 and 10 am....not sure why....but that is when I miss my ex the most. It must be my little grief rhythm cycling....

Second in line is right before I fall asleep at nite (alone).

Okay, I can`t resist and must beat Alpha and company to the punch line:

Always upon first waking up, it doesn`t get any harder than that.:o

yeah i'd say waking up- thats when you feel like pure crap- because it hits you all over again- and your dreams to- its freaking terrible man

When I was in the jaws of a black depression, the worst time of day started within a few moments of awakening. Aroused from the bliss of sleep, my eyes would flutter open, I'd be fine for a few seconds, then *WHAM* it would hit me; all my failures, all my disappointments, yadda yadda yadda.

Sometimes it lasted an hour, sometimes the whole day.

Thankfully, after much hand-wringing, I finally got some help and now I actually get out of bed with a spring in my step. (Then I go pee, and I'm back to a normal gait.)

seachange- how long did it take for you to be able to wake up, and feel allright?

It's been in fits and starts. The last couple of weeks in particular have been better for me. I think it started when I went home for Xmas. It's sunny and bright there, and that did make a huge difference. I brought some of that feeling back with me, thank goodness. (made me a bit homesick though)

But anyway. I found myself walking outside and feeling just happy to be me. Which was a nice feeling for a change. :)

how long has it been since your break up? sorry for the questions

The toughest time for me is when I get off work. Because I would be happy and/or anxious to be able to see and spend time with my ex at that time. Once in awhile the evenings get sad too. But that is gone now and have to re-establish a life for myself.

3pm weekdays

because that is when I get horny and can't do a darned thing about it...well, except for an extended pee break but the washroom is next to my boss' office...

My hardest time is also in the morning...when I wake up and realize...yes this has all really happened and it's not one big nightmare.

Weekend mornings. Weekdays are filled with work. Weekends are more free, and that's when the demons come. Waking up without a damn thing to do sucks, especially now that I'm in a city where I don't know a soul.

Interesting. My worst time of day was at night. Between the hours of 9:00 pm and midnight, later if the sad feelings kept me awake. I'm too busy rushing out of the house in the morning, and on weekends I would sleep late. I guess I don't fit the profile here, but I know my ex's worse time was the mornings and still is. Whenever there is contact from him, it's usually in the morning even when he's working.
