Well, this is a shame. Definitely a big loss for this board. I remember when I first came here. I was so devastated I didn't know where to turn or what to do. My heart was shattered in a million pieces. And you were one of the first people to respond to me with kind words. You've no idea how much your words, and those like you who offered me support, meant to me. Helped me greatly in a time I badly needed it. I wish you'd stay. Your input is always sound and helpful and much needed to those who are hurting on this board. Please reconsider. ~Torn~
Author newbby Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 the reason... i am no longer an ow. i havent been for some time. i do not believe in living in the past or creating an identity around historical events. it is bad for the spirit, which only wants to be free. this includes both good and bad historical events. i am known in this forum as an ow, indeed certain people who i otherwise like and respect, will only see my words through this fact. now i have nothing to hide here, and so why change my name and deny this fact? i am not ashamed of who i have been, so there is nothing to deny. however i understand these are my beliefs and not those of others. alot of people like to give everyone an identity and remain entrenched in their own. i hope that everybody realises that we are all connected, we are all beautiful and gives out love not hate.

Don't let others determine what your agenda is or should be. If need be, stay out of the OM/OW boards for awhile...contribute elsewhere. You make a valid point about not letting your past define you, but as I said YOU are the one who defines YOU. You can make valuable contributions in other areas of LS but I think your contributions as an EX-OW are very valuable. Of course in the end, you need to do what's best for you. And if you feel that it's not best for you to contribute there anymore well..that's understandable. I admire your strength and compassion.

Yeah i agree with Touche, you shouldn't leave for good because what people think of you!! Stay out the OW/OM forum just as Touche said and vent in the others !! Author newbby Posted January 3, 2006 Author Posted January 3, 2006 you are correct touche', nobody but me defines me. i'm not sure if this is what i meant though... i am going through another very bad time at the moment. i very very very bad for 2 weeks of every month. i am not at that stage yet, but i can see it coming. once again i am having a battle with what is healthy, what is helpful. after each bout, i pray that it is over. when i recover i feel that it will never happen again, i have finally made it. when it takes me over it destroys all hope. i am in the stage of panic now. thats all. i can see it coming and i am trying to fight against it. you are all such lovely people. thanks for your words.

But the time comes when you are no longer in that place of hurt and want to look foward and not live in the past....I understan Newbby....Live your life, be happy, congrats.

joodee Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 I hope you are ok, like you I have been feeling pretty down these last few days, I have been so anxiety-ridden about keeping up NC, etc. (Especially today). Please know you are in my thoughts, I kind of feel a kinship towards you because on these forums we have seem to have been going through the same things at the same time. PM me if you'd like, stay strong, load your mind with positive thoughts. You are a wonderful person and have much to contribute. I think we all just came out of the "holidays" and post-holiday time is tough. Hugs to you, hope you are well.

Noone is going to think you're weird. Hello, have a look around LS, you're surrounded by weirdo's...Myself included! And I'm proud of it. I say, the weirder the better, makes one more unique!
