carolm Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Hi there Everyone I met a wonderful guy with a big heart 3 weeks ago. We spent 10 days together and he left to return to his home in the states, i live on the other side of the world. We sms/text each other up to 20 times a day in the first week apart, phoned quite a few times, all very loving and fun. However I started noticing myself becoming very needy when he did not return my texts immediately thinking he was trying to hint to me that he wasn't interested anymore. When confronted he told me I worry too much. And i in turn explained to him that I was freaking myself out by my behaviour and since i am in the middle of some pretty big work projects told him that i think we should give it a break for a while. He told me that was fine as long as it wasn't permanent and that he didn't want to stress me out or divert my attentions away from my work. I know he sounds amazing but it has been 5 whole days with no contact and now i think maybe he is relieved. My question is since i was the one that initiated the stop in communication. Do i pick up the phone first? Or do I wait for him to see if he really misses me? the confusion madly in love .......... i think 1
