niko1999 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Actually, if I really want to toot my horn, it was 4 lbs, but 3 of them were weight flucuations that I usually have. But I weighed myself today, and voila! I was a pound less! I know it isnt a lot, but I have struggled with not only my weight, but eating disorders, for YEARS, and a single pound, done my cutting back a little on what I eat, is an excellent reward for myself. Plus, I have started doing a little at home muscle toning(used to do ballet, comes in handy when trying to find quick easy-well, not easy-ways to tone the legs again), along with using a 5 lb weight. Amazing how much just a little bit of weight training can make a difference. Anyway, I just wanted to share my new found, SLOW start to weight loss-kind of hoping for encouragement from others I.E. other weight loss stories, how you did it, did it work, have you kept it off? GO ME!
JS17 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 congrats niko! every little bit makes a difference I have found weight training to help quite a bit. I generally get a lot of cardio in (with the exception of the past few weeks) so it doesn't do much for me. Weights help though...light weights, heavy repetitions.
Milo Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I weighed myself at my parents' house over Christmas and found I had lost 20 pounds! Incredible. Of course back at home, I gained 20 back. Stupid scales! But if you want to know the brand of the 20 lbs lighter scale, I can find that out.
