Hello.

As a new year's resolution I am going to lose 40 pounds...I am at the gym 4 times a week - due to other engagments I can't make it there any more times a week - and doing a fifty minute Cardio workout - no weights, I want to lose the weight before I tone. Is this enough to make a difference?

I do 20 minutes on the Air Walker, 20 on the Bike and 10 on the Rower.

As for diet, I'm vegetarian, so eating lots of veggies and fruit is natural. I'm also eating wholemeal bread and brown rice.

I'm cutting out pastry, cakes, biscuits, ice-cream, chocolate, sweets, fastfood and fried foods - not that I eat a lot of those anyway.

I have a lot of dedication and drive to this cause. I want to lose about 10 pounds a month - think this is possible for me?

They say 1 to 2 lbs a week is healthy. In the beginning youre going to lose more, more quickly, becuase its probably fairly new to your body. But 10 lbs a month is completley doable, and as long as your eating well, and drinking plenty of water, then it should not be a problem. And I hope your new years resolution works for you. THey never do for me:) Good luck. Just remember after a couple of weeks, you are going ot need to spice up a little bit, becuase your body is going ot get used to what youre doing. So either change what youre doing after a couple of weeks, or change things around.
