My ex gf finally changed her status to "single" on friendster and myspace. I did the same thing the night she dumped me (a month ago). I'm not surprised but it still kinda hurts. I should really stop going on those sites :(

Why do you look at her profile ??

You are practicing a self defeating behavior.. Remove her as your friend and try to stop looking at her profile..

It does no good to look.. you changed yours right away.. She is single so her changing hers is her choice..

I know it's tough to stop trying to find info about the other person but as someone who has been there.. You need to try to back yourself away when you desire to find out info about her..

Keep up the NC. . You will get through this

You're right Art Critic. The thing is, I actually removed her from my friend list on both friendster and myspace. I found out she changed her status to single because of a feature on friendster. On friendster, it shows you who looked at your profile. Well it turns out she looked at my profile. When the feature lists the people who viewed you, it shows their relationship status. Anyway, it sucks to know.

I guess I'll avoid those sites until I get a new gf. At that point it won't matter ;) Anybody have a happy story? I know we're all hurting here, but has anyone moved on to meet someone who is just so much better than their ex? Someone who makes you think "My God, how could I pine for and feel so bad about my ex?" I'd love to hear such a story!
