Outcast Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 It's very disappointing to see you continue to attack Smoochie.
Art_Critic Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 It's very disappointing to see you continue to attack Smoochie. You don't think that maybe Smoochie bears some responsibility in the heated discussions that he gets involved in ? Is it alway's the other person in the discussion with Smoochie that is wrong ? I think it is both parties that bear the responsibility not just one. From what I have seen from Smoochie's postings he is more than capable of sticking up for himself.. It isn't like he is being ganged up on.. someone is having a disagreement with him
ms_jnj Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Hm. Well I'm 5'8" and....large framed (was thinking "big boned" but that reminds me way too much of Carman insisting he isn't fat, lol). Point is I have wide shoulders and hips, and wear a 34 inch inseam. I have to buy brands of pants that come in "long." Not fat big, just....my frame is not short or petite. And I have to admit I am hardly ever attracted to guys that are significantly shorter than me....just because their body frame almost always seems to go along with their height, in that it is small. I enjoy that feeling of having a man that is bigger and stronger than me. Someone who can lift me off my feet literally and make me feel feminine. I don't want to hold my hand up to a guys and have my hand be bigger, my feet be the same size, or have my shoulders be broader than his. Maybe it is the whole sexist but often true idea of a man being able to protect a woman....but when a man is physically smaller than me I am just not attracted. Now if a guy was an inch or two shorter but large framed that would be different, but I have rarely seen it that way. The whole idea is that he has to be physically bigger than me. Maybe I'm being harsh, I dunno. But it seems to me like there are lots and lots of shorter girls out there....ones that are shorter than 5'5" or 5'6". If I was 5'2" I would have no problem with a 5'5" guy but being as tall as I am a man that is taller than me has to be tall in general.
ms_jnj Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Oh P.S. men grown throughout their 20s, where as women are usually done at 16...so you might be tall yet.
Author Lifestream Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 The funny thing is that in a weird sense I get the feeling that some women want to have their cake and eat it too. I've been hearing rumblings of a pill that suppresses a woman's natural menstrual cycle. I firmly believe this is because men do not have to experience this. At the same time, a significant portion of these women will want to feel feminine by having a stronger, taller, more dominant man. Although it is a fairly small portion of women, I still have to laugh at the irony, but I digress
Author Lifestream Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 Actually the funny thing is I have italian grandparents. Both are at most 5'1" on a good day. My uncle came out to be 5'10". Go figure, huh? Must've been some hidden genome or something.
loony Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 It's very disappointing to see you continue to attack Smoochie. I'm challenging his beliefs he is posting here on LS. As far as now I didn't call him any names or treated him with injustice. He posts something and I ask him to defend his statements. That's the same he does on LS. Just as you don't like other people's views and ask them to support their argument I'm doing the same with him. And as Art_Critic already said, he seems pretty able to defend himself and it's not as if people are ganging up with him. I've never liked his view on women and he should be able to stand up for it.
loony Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I've been hearing rumblings of a pill that suppresses a woman's natural menstrual cycle. Huh? What are you talking about?
Author Lifestream Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 Huh? What are you talking about? It is what it is. Scientists are developing a pill to supress a woman's natural menstrual cycle. What more do you want me to say? I didn't go in depth into it but I skimmed through an article about it.

I didn't go in depth into it but I skimmed through an article about it. Interesting path this thread has taken. From height-challenged guys to menstrually-suppressed women.

I firmly believe this is because men do not have to experience this. At the same time, a significant portion of these women will want to feel feminine by having a stronger, taller, more dominant man. I'm sorry, little guy, but I dont think a woman wanting to suppress her menstruation has anything to do with wanting to be more masculine. It has more to do w/ the fact that having a myriad of gross and uncomfortable things happen to you every month gets annoying and inconvenient. Some people dont want to have children, either for the time being or ever, which makes it another good reason to suppress the cycle. Quit trying to be clever by making up conclusions you know nothing about (damn I'm negative today....whats my deal?! sorry guys)

I didn't go in depth into it but I skimmed through an article about it. I'm kind of peeved now that a 18 year old greenhorn is questioning things as a woman's feminity and her reason for wanting to suppress her menstruation cycle. I don't want to pull out the age card, but really, about some topics I think you should only talk when you have some experience and are a bit older.
clandestinidad Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 haha...its almost as bad as saying that men want to get laser treatment on their facial hair b/c women dont have any....jeeez
johan Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 haha...its almost as bad as saying that men want to get laser treatment on their facial hair b/c women dont have any....jeeez Hm.. Now that you mention it..
clandestinidad Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 LOL feeling a bit feminine, johan?! Doesnt every male want to be female, just as Lifestream thinks females strive to be male?? Or was he saying that since males are so superior, we females want to be more masculine....oh please, please take away my periods so I can be more like the sovereign male gender!!!! ($hit, this coming from someone who's not even a femi-nazi...imagine what they'd do to this guy)
Author Lifestream Posted December 29, 2005 Author Posted December 29, 2005 Look at the argument. It's logical and it's valid. But it may not encompass every woman, or even any woman. It's conjecture, although I may have been a bit too verbose in my statements. You have other viewpoints and I respect and acknowledge that. But really, playing the age card doesn't add anything to the argument. Sometimes I may sound a little Freudist, but it's still valid regardless of my age. I may be inexperienced and I haven't covered every viewpoint, but this specific one still has some sort of merit. The Socratic method is still a powerful thing. I'm glad you offered your viewpoints. Mine aren't etched in stone, I'm young and I have a lot to learn. I'm not denying that, this is why I come here. This is why I talk to more experienced people. This is why I read. It is to challenge my current beliefs, create a synthesis or toss them completely.
Fun2BMe Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 The funny thing is that in a weird sense I get the feeling that some women want to have their cake and eat it too. At the same time, a significant portion of these women will want to feel feminine by having a stronger, taller, more dominant man. Although it is a fairly small portion of women, I still have to laugh at the irony, but I digress Suppressing a menstral cycle is more about avoiding physical discomfort and the huge hassle of menstration - changing tampons, getting cramps, mood swings, bloating, bleeding heavily, getting sore all over - imagine going through that 25% of the year (one week out of every month). I wouldn't call these same women who seek to avoid having periods (what sane woman wouldn't want a pill to suppress that crap?), girls who "wants to eat their cake too" if they happen to prefer a tall man, something I find to be completely unrelated. Maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem logical to make that relation. One is about a physical condition that has more to do with feelings of discomfort than of feeling feminine, the other is a visual preference in the opposite sex that could be the result of many factors. One poster said tell men remind her of her father who she's used to being around. Another prefers tall men because she is a big boned woman and feels too large around men who are smaller than her, etc. Personally, I prefer short men. I am short and like blind_otter stated, it is better in bed when you can align with someone who is near your height. Also, short men who are confident are the sexiest thing in the world to me. Tall men on the most part, who are "confident" are oftentimes cocky and are used to literally being looked up to and think they're all that. No offense tall guys, I know there are perfectly nice normal level-headed tall guys as well.
SmoochieFace Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I'm challenging his beliefs he is posting here on LS. Nothing wrong with that. As far as now I didn't call him any names or treated him with injustice. True, but it seems that you have a personal *beef* with me and that it is colouring your responses to my posts. He posts something and I ask him to defend his statements. Nothing wrong with that either. I've never liked his view on women and he should be able to stand up for it. Why? Because it doesn't *jive* with YOUR beliefs/values? My views are based on my experiences. Simple as that. Perhaps if I didn't have so many negative experiences when it comes to women and relationships then perhaps I wouldn't possess the views I possess. The fact that you don't *like* my views certainly does not invalidate them and the experiences of mine that generated them. As I have said in previous posts, my new GF is helping me to realise that not ALL women are scum. There ARE decent ones out there. Now, are you gonna flog me for - god forbid - CHANGING?
SmoochieFace Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Exactly Loony! It is irony and I think SF just goes around post to post to make arguements with some people cuz he can. He hasn't and won't hear anything I have to say and loves to disagree with me. I could say the right answer but he'll never agree with me because it's HIS game to not agree with me. Even me posting this, will ruffle his feathers enough that he'll still disagree with me and find something else to argue about it. God, it's so tiresome! A fine example of overgeneralisation... I disagree with you on THIS ISSUE. Does this mean that I will disagree with you on ALL issues? You seem like an educated individual so I will let you answer that one.
whichwayisup Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Every time I post something ANYWHERE you are always there, 9 times out of ten, in my face telling me you disagree with me. That's all. And it's not overgeneralization. It's what I see on the boards. That is my thought on this. BUT...I can agree with you on the other post 100%. (alpha's comment)

You post quite a bit in those *hot threads* and I stay away from there. Again, you are blowing this way out of proportion. Now... if you are referring to the *insult* thread then, yes, we are in agreement.
loony Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Why? Because it doesn't *jive* with YOUR beliefs/values? My views are based on my experiences. Simple as that. Perhaps if I didn't have so many negative experiences when it comes to women and relationships then perhaps I wouldn't possess the views I possess. The fact that you don't *like* my views certainly does not invalidate them and the experiences of mine that generated them. Please tell me, what is the difference between your posts and Alpha's post if everybody is allowed to have an opinion based on his experiences? If he says, women like to be treated badly, because it's his experience, why get upset about him? Why challenge his belief? What's the difference between his negative views on women and yours? Because he says, "ALL women like jerks" and you only say, "MOST women like jerks" he is not allowed to state his opinion here? As I have said in previous posts, my new GF is helping me to realise that not ALL women are scum. There ARE decent ones out there. Now, are you gonna flog me for - god forbid - CHANGING? But the majority, isn't it? Those who rejected you?
whichwayisup Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I meant the short man post, that one I agreed with you.
SmoochieFace Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 Please tell me, what is the difference between your posts and Alpha's post if everybody is allowed to have an opinion based on his experiences? Because he says, "ALL women like jerks" and you only say, "MOST women like jerks" he is not allowed to state his opinion here? Why are you dragging Alpha into this pissing match? Difference between Alpha and yours truly? Alpha is a misogynist - I am not. Alpha abuses women (he said so himself) - I do not. Alpha seems to not be able to form a REAL relationship with women and as a result he is always leaving them - I have no problems forming relationships with women and I have never left anyone. No-one ever said anything about Alpha or anyone else being barred from stating any opinions here so how did that come into play? But the majority, isn't it? Those who rejected you? MOST can mean most women I have come into contact with. They certainly do not represent ALL women. I have said that before and I have also said that my current GF is helping me to change but obviously you are not *getting it* and probably never will because of your blatant animosity towards me. You remind me of my mother, loony. Even if I change and *make amends* for some transgression you will STILL attack me. Cannot *win* no matter what I do, right? Same exact way as Mommy Dearest. Congratulations. Outcast said it quite well when she told another poster in a different thread that "you don't like him (SF) anyway so he can't say anything right in your eyes." Admit it, loony. THAT is the issue here.
SmoochieFace Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I meant the short man post, that one I agreed with you. Got it. Now that that has been established, please quit assuming that I will automatically disagree with you no matter what, k? Thanks.
