Hey everyone,

I just wanted to share my little story about running into an ex of mine for the first time. He and I broke up last March and we haven't seen nor run into each other since then. We had an amicable breakup. We weren't together very long and it just didn't work out between us. It was nobody's fault but he decided to end it. I was really upset about it because I really liked this guy.

Anyway, he gave me this whole bs about how amazing I am and I have to be in his life and blah, blah, blah. I believed him at the time. Well, I waited for him to call. Days turned into months. I finally stopped waiting.

Well about two weeks ago, I had just got off work (I work as an event planner) and was looking pretty fierce because we just had a really extravegant party. After the the party a bunch of co-workers and I went to a local bar.

I had run into a mutal friend of my ex and I whom I haven't seen since we broke up. We talked for over an hour just catching up. He didn't bother to tell me that my ex was either on his way to the bar or already in the bar! I seriously almost passed out when I saw him. I kept it together and played it cool.

He said hello and hugged and kissed me on the cheek. We chatted a bit and then he invited us to another bar because the one we were at was closing. So he and I talked for a long time and then we had the five minute breakup recap. It was fine. He told me his friends always ask about me and how didn't call because he wasn't sure if I wanted to hear from him (whatever). I'm not holding my breath.

This was like the perfect "Sex and the City-esq" post breakup meeting.

It's just nice to feel good about a breakup and look back on it and say "yeah, it was fun, but it didn't work out."
