CluelessGuy Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I met a girl online a month or so ago and we have been talking regularly since then, both online and on the phone. We have a lot in common and set up a date to meet and go out to dinner. After dinner we are going to go back to my house and watch a movie. I have never had a first date that wasn't some type of planned public activity, so I'm not exactly sure how to handle it. I'm worried with us coming back to my house and watching a movie that she may think of it more as just hanging out as friends, but I want to try to make sure that she knows that I do consider it a "date." Does anyone have any advice for this situation? What would be proper dating etiquette when watching a movie at home on a first date? Would it be weird if I held her hand during the movie? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
jayteresa Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 I suppose it depends on how well the dinner goes, just take it as it comes. Try not to think ahead so much, just be your self, take the eve at pace and see how you get on. I'm sure you will be able to tell what is acceptable to do from how the dinner goes. Just relax, be yourself and i'm sure that if she is compatible to you all will be fine, Dont worry so much, have fun!
