Do guys get weird when it comes to dating around the holidays

Need some help here. Okay, I ran into a guy who I went to high school with. Within the first 5 mins. he asked if I was married, had any kids, asked for my number so we could have lunch. To me this sounds like he's interested. We talked a few times over the phone but we have not gone to lunch or anything. I took the initiative to call him and he always called me back. The last time we talked he made a point to tell me he came by were I work PT to see if I was working which I was not. Again, sounds if maybe he is interested. He also tells me he remembers the last time we ran into each other which was 6 or 7 years ago. The bad thing is I have not talked to him in a couple weeks. I guess what I want to know is if guys get weird when it comes to dating someone when it's close to the holidays? I know he is busy starting up his own business but I didn't think a phone call would hurt. Do any of you think he's interested? What should I do now? Wait for him to call? Should I make another attempt to call him? HELP!!!
