Becoming Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 it's not the faults or failings you have, but how you deal with them that counts. Your own good advice! Thanks, Walk.
NYCmitch25 Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Best advice: "Yellow snow tastes the best for it's natures candy.. " Hmm I might have gotten part of that wrong... the best advice was to simply not take life too seriously... Think about it, nothing is significant...
patwheel Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 When I was going through my teen crisis, I was angry at my parents, putting friends and girlfriends before anyone, even the family. Uncle came over, and told me: "Friends and girlfriends come and go. Family is there forever." Quickly dismissed it, but quickly came to realize it.
FataMorgana Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 ... it's not the faults or failings you have, but how you deal with them that counts. great one walk. another two that stay with me, but I think I picked them up along the way, can't remember where from: "be honest to yourself....." hmm....maybe shakespeare "carpe diem"
newbby Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 It struck me because it made me realize it's not the faults or failings you have, but how you deal with them that counts. i like this. my best advice: how do you know there's hope? because you take another breath.
littlekitty Posted December 20, 2005 Posted December 20, 2005 Kill them with kindess.... It applies to so many things, but it also allows you to keep your head held high and not to descend to the level of the people throwing the crap at you. Something I'm having to remind myself of constantly with regards to my partners ex gf (Baby Mother) at the moment!!
mental_traveller Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 The best advice I read was that actions speak louder than words. Some people interpret this as meaning watch someone's actions to prevent getting deceived and lied to. I agree, but it can also be used in a positive way - there is no better way to convince and win people over than to take action yourself. A deed you carry out is worth 100 promises.
happymadison Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 best advice i have heard. 1. if it flies, floats, or F..cks, its cheaper to rent than to own. 2. a smart person learns from his own mistakes, and a wise person learns from the mistakes of others. 3. when you first lay eyes on a woman, thats the smallest she will ever be. 4. Look closely at a woman's mother--90% of the time this is what you will end up with. 5. keep you friends close, and your enemies closer.
